English 11- Final Hurdle: My Magical Journey to Share Poetry In My Community

First Love

Always out of your reach and miles away,

But in your mind and head all day.

You know it’s not going to happen;

You try to give up, but fail miserably.

Sometimes you wish you’ve never seen such a dream,

And getting her attention is swimming upstream

When you finally realize it’s all over,

You pick up shattered pieces of your heart and try to move on.

First, I figured that my classmates would've already shared their poems with the UBC community. Sooooo......

And then, I tried putting some of my poems on cars to make sure they have to see it one way or another.

Cars

Since I live around the vicinity, I went out and found the places where most people would see my poem, if I put them up.

Do seek their meat from god

     In the short story "Do Seek Their Meat from God" by Charles Roberts, the title represents the kill or be killed mentality of nature. In nature, animals have to kill to supply their cubs and themselves to survive, such as the panthers in the story.  The panthers, trying to survive by "God's" of life, seeks meat(food) from "God's world". However, this analogy works with the humans too. The settler kills the panthers which are trying to feed their cubs. This man fundamentally saves the child from the panthers to continue the human race. All in all, to survive, all things in the world must kill and seek their food from "God's world".
